During this safari, we expect to do the Gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. You will do a lot of birding and game drives in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This will include a boat cruise along Kazinga Channel.

On arrival for your 14 days Uganda safari, you will be met by a driver guide from Zzike tropical safaris at Entebbe International Airport, greet and transfer you to the hotel for lunch/dinner depending on the time of arrival. Dinner and overnight at Victoria Royal Hotel. F/B.
After your breakfast transfer to Kampala for a city tour. You will visit the religious sites such as the Uganda Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo and the Bahai temple- the only temple of this faith in the whole of Africa. In the afternoon after a lunch break, you will proceed to tour the Uganda Museum and other cultural sites like the Kasubi Tombs, the Kabaka’s lake, and the Lubiri to see Twekobe House. In the evening we will proceed to be entertained by the famous Ndere troupe dancers from Ndere center, where you will catch a dinner theatre performance from the group as they delight you with the traditional drama, dances from all over Uganda and Rwanda dressed in their charming traditional attires. After early breakfast check out and depart Kampala at 7:30am, you will drive north of Kampala on the Gulu highway. Branch off in Nakitoma trading centre then continue to the Rhino sanctuary in time for the trekking activity. Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda to trek Rhinos therefore it’s a must visit. You will enjoy a lunch at the Sanctuary and later embark on our journey to Murchison Falls National Park via Kampala Masindi highway for approximately 2 hrs 15 mins arriving in the evening with game drive enroute, continue to the lodge for check in at the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Fort Murchison River Lodge. F/B
Wakeup early for breakfast and then head for a game drive. Expect to see various wild species such as lions, bushbucks, spotted hyenas, elephants, cape buffalos, oribis, Rhod’schild giraffe and maybe the leopard if chance strikes. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon we will take a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. The Nile here gets calm at the base of the falls; we stop a few metres from the “Devil’s Cauldron” where we shall encounter herds of elephants, aquatics like the hippos and crocodiles plus countless bird species like; hornbills, cormorants, pelican bee-eater, goliath’s heron, etc. after the boat cruise you will hike to the top of the falls for a close view of the beautiful scenery that forms the park. Here your driver will be waiting to drive you back to the lodge. Dinner and overnight at Murchison River Lodge. F/B
Wakeup early enough for breakfast then embark on a long drive to Kibale with a lunch enroute in Fort Portal. Continue with beautiful views of tea estates, farmlands and homesteads. We’ll transfer to a point where we shall start a walk in the crater lakes belt, surrounded by a beautiful landscape. Our guide will explain the cultural history and background of the Toro Kingdom proceed to Kibale arriving in the evening for check in at the lodge. Dinner & overnight. F/B at Kibale forest camp F/B.
Early breakfast, go for briefing at kanyanchu and then start a guided trek in search for the chimpanzees under instructions of the ranger guide with our packed lunch. The dense forests give an opportunity to spot birds like the western nicator, little greenbul, yellow rupped tinker bird, black caped Apalis, African grey parrot, red chested owlet, collared Apalis, black bee-eater, just to mention but a few. Retreat from the activity, eat your packed lunch and later start on a guided walk in Bigodi wetland for birding, view sitatunga antelopes and also a visit to the crafts centre. Return to the lodge in the evening and be entertained by a cultural group with their fascinating cultural dances. Dinner & overnight at Kibale forest camp. F/B.
You will have breakfast and then set off for Queen Elizabeth National park approximately for 3 hours, check in and lunch at the lodge, relax then do a boat cruise along the kazinga channel which connects Lakes Edward and George. Kazinga channel has the highest concentration of hippos in Africa. It also harbours crocodiles and a diversity of birds. Return to the lodge for dinner & overnight Enganzi lodge. F/B.
After an early cup tea/coffee you will go for a game drive along the Queen’s Mile plus the Kasenyi trail, you will view herds of buffalos, kobs, warthogs, water bucks, elephants, plus a lot of bird species. Return to the lodge for breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth for kabale. Drive via kabale – Mbarara road and Ntungamo- Katunguru road which is approximately 4 hours, arriving at Lake Bunyonyi in the afternoon for check in and lunch at the lodge relax the whole evening. Dinner and an overnight at Arcadia lodge Lake Bunyonyi. F/B
After a heavy breakfast, take a boat ride as we tour Islands on Lake Bunyonyi. The Lake has over 35 islands, it’s also known as the lake of many little birds, so expect to do bird watching. It features over 200 bird species such as weaver birds, egrets, herons, grey crowned crane, etc. Return back for lunch and in the afternoon go for a nature walk to the local pygmy community. Walk through the different villages exploring the unspoilt cultures of tribes in Uganda. There are many interesting activities you may opt for during your stay in Kabale. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia lodge Lake Bunyonyi. F/B
After breakfast you will take a guided canoe ride exploring more of the Lake’s Islands in search for more bird species. You will later return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon we set off for a 2 hours 15 minutes drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Park via the Kabale Kisoro road. In Buhoma a section of Bwindi, we shall check in at the lodge which will be already reserved for you. Relax as you prepare for the adventurous Gorilla tracking the following day. After breakfast, you will go for an early morning briefing about the awaited activity. The rainforest is spectacular as it offers an adventurous, heavily forested and densely endowed with wild life plus a hike challenging landscape which is fun for tourists. This park is best known for the fascinating mountain gorillas, where the time taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these marvelous primates. The thrill of spending time with and observing the gorillas is a rare, moving, awesome and exciting adventure. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience to watch and photograph them as they interact with each other. Dinner and overnight at Bwindi
After breakfast and check out, embark on a 5 hours 30 minutes drive via Kabale Mbarara road to Lake Mburo. We shall make a stop to have lunch at a restaurant in Mbarara arriving at Lake Mburo in the afternoon. After check in relaxation, we will go for a 2 hours boat trip which will reward us with an encounter to the aquatics like the hippos and crocodiles, water birds and many animals which gather to drink water from this Lake. Return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Arcadia lodge. F/B.
Early morning after a cup of tea/coffee we will go for a morning game drive where we will encounter game species like buffalos, warthogs, impalas, zebras, topis, water bucks, antelopes and a variety of birds. You will retire from the activity and return to the lodge for breakfast. After an hour’s rest you will go for a guided walk to the “salt lick” water point where many animals gather to lick the salty soils around the water point. Retire after 1 and a half hour from this activity, return to the lodge for lunch and then pack our bags for the return to Entebbe. We shall drive via Mbarara Masaka road and then to kasanje for approximately 4 hours, to Buwaya where we shall wait for the ferry to cross back to Entebbe to the hotel to relax as you wait for dinner and overnight at Victoria Royal Hotel. F/B.
After enough night’s rest enjoy a heavy tasty breakfast, visit UWEC’s rescued wildlife and have lunch here and then later transfer to the Entebbe international Airport for your flight back home with beautiful memories of the safari.
